Passport will show you what it intends to send, I believe. No, it does not
collect anything you do not type in.
Same with Activation: it sends what you type in, plus the encrypted licence
number. It returns an encrypted activation key that is personal to
yourself.
If you do not activate, the software degrades to read-only. You cannot save
anything or edit anything.
