I am troubleshooting a fully patched computer (Mac OS 10.4) that
periodically and randomly duplicates Power Point files on a Windows
2003 server. There are no errors in the server log and no other
computers on the network (approx 200 Macs and PCs) are experiencing
this problem.
The duplicate files have the same name and are approximately the same
size, but have a .1, .2., .3, and .4 at the end of the name. Each
time, there have been 4 duplicates approximate 2-3 minutes apart.
The system log on the computer shows the following (approximately 40
times in a row).
Aug 17 16:33:40 shelleyts-computer kernel[0]: smbfs_remove: warning:
pid 427(LaunchCFMApp) unlink open file(Brevard, Sept. 2007.ppt)
