We have installed the latest update and it does not fix the problem.
We cannot uninstall and install the original because we use Entourage
as well and this update upgraded the Entourage database. If we
reinstall, we will not be able to access our email history and that
would be worse than this problem.
Was the latest update supposed to fix this problem? I had read on this
newsgroup yesterday that a Microsoft employee was going to submit a
"bug" report. I saw evidence, after submitting my report, of multiple
people using this software that have the same problem. I would like to
know if the bug report was submitted and, if so, what is the status of
that bug fix?

Hi Suz,
Some hyperlinking problems were introduced into PowerPoint 2004 during an
update.
The two solutions that ought to work:
1. Install the latest Office update. This ought to be all you need to do.
However, if that doesn't work then try
2. Uninstall Office using the Uninstall program in the Office folder on your
hard drive. Then re-install Office but do NOT apply the updates.

Quoting from "Suz" <smoskwa@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, in article

We have used Jeopardy Powerpoint slide shows where the main slide
hyperlinks to multiple slides within the same slideshow. Last year
this worked fine. This year we have made two changes: we are now on
Mac OS 10.4.7 (last year it was 10.3.9) and we have upgraded our MS
Office Software. We have Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac - Standard
Edition. We are on version 11.2.4 (060501) for Powerpoint. What is
happening this year is that we insert the hyperlink and the slide show
runs fine--it goes to the links. Then we exit Powerpoint and get back
in, it still runs fine. We restart our computer, open Powerpoint, open
the file and all the links have disappeared. When we insert the links,
we are selecting "Document" and browsing to find the slide to which we
want to link. If the link is put on a graphic with actions mouseclick,
it stays but that doesn't work for Jeopardy where you need to know
which selections you have already made. Can anyone help?
