Printing xls comments

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel

When I try to print comments on the xls page the comments in each successive line moves to the right eliminating the written content in that line. The text in the box appears to be tabbed further for each line so that at the end of the comment box there is a single letter or word in the last line. I've checked all of the formatting options and nothing appears to apply to this situation. The text is formatted for left justification. This phenomenon occurs regardless of text justification for the comment box.
