Re: How can I create a macro in Excel 2008

Thanks, Bob, I guess that's happening because what I was read. One more question, when you say that this capability will return in version "next", do you mean next update or next Office package? (little difference)
I hope it could be in the next update. I was seriously thinking in switching from pc to mac, but, right now, I am in the situation that the Mac OS does really well, but I cannot do the same things I did (and I need to do) with software for mac (among others, I miss very much an One Note for mac, as the possibilities I have seen are far away from the pc software capabilities).

"Normal"? Well, that's not exactly the word most would use, but it is
"true":-) Office 2008 does not support VBA, so macros (as most folks know
them) cannot be created or run & there is no recording capability. If you're
familiar with Excel Macro Language (XLM) you can still write macros in that
language, but nothing that involves VBA. [It's scheduled to return in
version "next".]

Apple Script can also be used for much of what VBA was relied on for if
you're familiar with it, but no recorder there either.

Hi, I come from Windows and Excel 2007, and cannot find the possibility to
create a new macro in Excel 2008 (save macro in Excel for Pc). When I go to
Macros in the Tools menu only can run but not save. Is it normal?
Thanks in advance,
Jose
