If the keys are intended to serve both functions there *must* be a means of
toggling between them - probably associated with a keyboard shortcut you've
inadvertently executed. However, that isn't an Excel issue & there's nothing
within the program that controls it, so unless it happens to be an externat
keyboard made by Microsoft you're seeking help in the wrong venue:-)
Take a look at the documentation or driver preferences for whatever brand of
keyboard it is. You'll most likely find the solution there. Otherwise
contact the mfr's support.

Recently, my numeric keys on my external keyboard (Powerbook G4, OS
10.4.11) stopped working as numerics and only work as scrolling keys. My
MAc external keyboard has no scrolling lock feature as far as I can tell.
CAn anyone tell me what I need to do so the number keys work again?
