I've been using mac office excel for years, to record expenditures,
using dollar signs and decimel places in the worksheet cells.
Suddenly, in the last month, the entries for the current year as well
as past years have lost dollar signs and decimal places, though the
numbers are in tact.
If I go into one of the formatting programs, whether I click "number,'
"currency," "accounting," or "general," I get the same popup
command: "Enter a different value. Entry cannot be used. Try an
integer or decimal number."
I can't figure out how to correct this, or what has inadvertly
changed. Does anyone know what's going on, or what to do?
I just tried calling the phone number on the microsoft website and was
told support for this particular program ended in January.
