I can't ell that this is a solution to the issue you describe. But take it
as a clue:
I have been reported some similar problems with workbooks that had been
created under older versions of Excel and it appeared that printing did not
come out as expected, part of the text being hidden "under" the left border.

The workaround was to set the Print Quality to "High" in the "Page Setup..."
(from the "File" Menu) dialog, and in the "Print..." dialog, make sure the
"Presets" are set to "Standard".

This could be an issue related to the original Print Quality that could be
set to values that are no longer supported in the current version. But well,
as said, this is just a clue, let us know if it points you out...
