I know of three potential solutions for this 2 are according to a thread
in the archives of this list from march 2004. The third is something i
figured out today on a hunch, when one of my users was having the same
problem. 1 didn't work for me and i didn't want to go to the extremety
of 2 and i knew about the trick for endnote & network users.
1. Repair Permsions from the hard Disk (worked for some)
2. removing the Acrobat PDF Maker plug-in from the Microsoft Office
X:Office:Startup:Excel folder
3. If your home directory is on a network drive/Not on a local Hard disk
(our case home is NFS mounted file share) have a local user run and quit
word. Copy there ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Carbon Registration
Database into your home directory in the same location (~ = home
directory)
To reach the sender Directly remove _notit from the senders address.
