My reply emails are showing up with short carriage returns. See the example
below. My reply email is the copy with the ">." My recipient's emails do not
have the same issues. I am sending them in HTML format.

Sam,
Thanks for the response.

Here's what I'm doing. My friend and neighbor Bill whose dog
Rover you remember was letting me use his house as he is away all summer.
Jane will look after the plants. So that works well. If things work out please
keep us in
mind for a couple of outings.

I may send the kids to FL later this summer.

Best to you,
Chuck

I'm still waiting to hear back from Karen on what she wants to do.
With
school just out I expect that it will take several days to get
over
things and I'm hoping to hear from her later in the week. She comes
highly
recommended by everyone we've spoken with but my sense is that she
wants to
continue traveling in the summer and that leaves us without
someone
to manage things. We are also speaking with another potential
manager on
Wednesday.

Until I get this organized I don't want to strain existing resources
further. We're working non stop at present with one fellow and my oldest
daughter
and while two more doesn't seem like much more, as you know, they are.

As soon as I have something together I'll follow back up to see if
what we
have works with your needs.

Best,

Sam

Sam,
Apparently Kim will not be able to come on for the summer as she
has decided to work for her mother. Well that is how they are sometimes.

I am seriously trying to find a place for the dogs and
wondered if you might have a boarding opportunity at least
temporarily. I need Bear to be kept up in the day time as he's older.

I think I have a girl who can come in and help occasionally.

Chuck

I think the issue has to do with plain text (as opposed to HTML) messages.
Messages in plain text format wrap at a fixed length (80 characters, I
think). Replies in plain text format insert "> " in front of each line of
the original message. In some cases, these extra characters cause the line
to be longer than the wrap length, and so the line gets wrapped again,
placing the last word of the original line on a new line.

It is also possible that different mail programs wrap at different line
lengths, which could aggravate the problem.
