Entourage won't delete messages from exchange inbox.

Hi all,
I'm running into a problem where entourage 2008 isn't updating my
exchange inbox. Messages I delete in entourage still show up in my OWA/
Outlook inbox. I noticed I can move messages back and forth from the
inbox just fine - I moved a saved message in and out of the inbox and
OWA reflected the changes - but deleting messages doesn't happen.
Interestingly, Entourage shows that it's constantly updating the
deleted items folder. tcpdump shows a lot of network activity to/from
exchange, but I never actually see anything change.
Does anyone have any other ideas where to look? I've removed my
profile and recreated, forced syncs, etc. Nothing seems to be working.
