For the last time: Contact your ISP and get the correct settings from
them. What is so hard about that?? My goodness!
I have .. your arrogance is far outweighed by your lack of comprehension. You
are offered no help here. get another job
This isn't my job. I, and most others here, volunteer my time here to
help others. I don't know of anyone here who is paid for their time here.
I do comprehend your dilemma just fine - thanks. In fact, if I were
sitting in front of the problem computer, I have no doubt what-so-ever
that I could solve the problem in a matter of minutes - seconds even.
Unfortunately, I'm not sitting in front of the problem computer. *YOU*
are the one in that position; and you are asking everyone here for help.
The problem is you haven't shared very much information at all about the
*specifics* about what you have tried.
Let's recap:
I asked you for some very specific information:

2. What have you supplied for each of these settings?:

SMTP Server
Advanced sending options:
Override default SMTP port
SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL)
SMTP server requires authentication
Your answers were mostly vague and non-specific:

Client uses Verizon DSL and is tapping into a corp server.
POP account settings mail. xxx.net
SMTP requires authorization is checked and we have tried
use same settings as receiving mail server and have tried logging on with
account name and password as another option both fail with same error
message.
So you told us the *POP* server is "mail. xxx.net". A fake server name
gives us absolutely no indication of what mail server you are attempting
to use, so therefore we also have no clue as to what SMTP server you
might need to use.
You have not told us the SMTP Server setting.
You have not told us what SMTP port you have configured.
You have not told us if the SMTP SSL setting is checked.
You have told us you are using the same user name and password for the
SMTP server as the POP server; but without knowing more, we can't know
whether that's what you *should* be using.
In essence, you have asked for help in the worst possible way, ensuring
you won't get much help in the process. And yet you feel justified in
being upset with everyone here for not fixing your problem sooner.
Hopefully you can see now that you're being unreasonable.
