Hi, I have mac office 2004 installed on Mac 10.4 and after over a year of no
problems, except for the occasional crash, I now keep getting a message -
'unable to perform required action unknown error 4362 has occurred.' At the
time, I was changing email message rules and moving and deleting some
messages. Now I have problems with messages like - after deleting or moving
from a folder they reappear in the same folder refusing to be deleted or
moved and the error message keeps popping up. I have tried restarting
entourage and the computer and I've also disabled all message rules in case
this was the problem. Nothing worked and I'm wondering if anybody has any
suggestions other than removing the program and reinstalling as there is a
pile of information there that I can't afford to loose. hope someone can
help?
a 4362 error indicates the database daemon ad a problem when asking the
database for something. Most common reason for this is database
corruption. Restart Entourage while holding down the option key until
you see the rebuild screen. Then follow the instructions.
