I'm not the one who started that branch of this discussion. Someone else
did. I'll leave it as an exercise for you to figure out to whom you
should complain.
, and a
philosophical debate about the merits of HTML email.
....again, through no fault of my own...
I asked two simple questions, and didn't ask for a debate. Any perceived
debate was started by someone else in this thread - not me. Again,
you'll have to figure out on your own where to lodge your complaints.
I'm not accepting complaints.
So, Jolly Roger, for the record, we don't care about your day job, or how
you would handle a boss telling you how to format mails, or what you would
do about it.
Sorry, but you don't get to speak for every single person here. My
advice: Speak for yourself - I always do. : )
And your record of long standing employment doesn't make me
feel any differently about your attitude here.
Not that I care one little iota how anything I write makes you feel
either way... If you're having emotional problems based on what you
read, I suggest you stop reading it. ; )
We don't care to hear your
philosophy on the demerits of HTML email communication.
I recommend you speak for yourself. It really works better that way.
We come here looking for answers to why such a basic and prevalent feature
in all email clients is so hopelessly broken in Entourage.
Hopelessly is right - and I hope it stays that way. If HTML is broken in
Entourage that many fewer people will be encouraged to send the nasty
stuff my way. Great! : )
Aside from your
own strong opinions about HTML email, some of us count on it for many
things.
I have no problem with you doing so, as long as you don't send them to
me. : )
So your derogatory comments such as "oh boo hoo, cry me a river" and
other such pejorative crap aren't really being well received.
I give people the same respect they give me.
The above so-called derogatory remark was issued in response to a
derogatory remark by the person to which I responded.
BTW: This happens to be Usenet, where we are all free to voice our
opinions and feelings - thank goodness. If you don't like that, too
fuckin' bad - throw a tantrum in a corner about it, if it makes you feel
better.
For the
record, I find you and your comments offensive.
Too bad, so sad. Deal with it. : )
We're here for answers, and
sometimes to see if others are running into the same problems, but we're
certainly not here for pedantic lectures from the likes of you.
I'll hope I'm not the only one here aware of the fact that while you
complain that the discussion has diverged into a characterization of me,
you simultaneously characterize me yourself. ; ) Sorry - two-faced
arguing has no place here. You'll have to pick one - either accept that
yourself and others will degrade the discussion into personal attacks,
or don't perpetuate it. The ball is in your court.
Meanwhile, since you've already degraded this post, I'll retort: I've
got news for you - if it weren't for "the likes of me" you wouldn't have
a lot of the luxuries you take for granted. The "likes of me" help
create the hardware that supports the networks and computers you use to
post these messages. Without the "likes of me", those chips wouldn't
exist. I know, I know, you'd love it if "the likes of me" didn't exist
at all - unfortunately you depend on "the likes of me" every day of your
life. Quite the conundrum, isn't it? : )
Not that this has anything at all to do with the discussion of HTML
signatures...

E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my very hungry SPAM
filter. Due to Google's refusal to prevent spammers from posting
messages through their servers, I often ignore posts from Google
