Syncing Entourage through sync services, Address Book, iCal, Truth etc
does work but I get frequent sync messages saying that, for eg in
iCal, that 2000 items will be deleted, 2000 added. Or similar in
Address book. After backing up the Entourage database, I have let
these go through in the hope that it would do it once or twice and
then settle but it happens about once a day on either Mac. I only use
Entourage on the desktop (although it is installed on the laptop) so I
have a theory that it might be trying to sync with an older version of
the Entourage database on the laptop - when I go on the road I copy
the database across and copy it back.) So I've thought about
uninstalling all trace of entrouage and its database from the Laptop
and seeing if this fixes the problem.) Before I do that, anybody had
similar issues and tried this?
In general what are people's experience of MobileMe syncing when
you've got Entourage in the frame as well? I tried it periodically
with .Mac but always ended up switching it off for similar reasons to
above.
Edit:the copy of Entourage on the laptop has syncing disabled in the
Entourage prefs btw
