Entourage just wiped out when I opened it

I just opened Entourage and it was as if I had never opened it before. All my emails and projects are gone.
Luckily, I can reload all my emails, but this does nothing for my projects - I am a public health professional consultant and I USE those projects for work. They are essential. Now they are gone. I had been cleaning my Documents folder on my home drive, but touched nothing else. The only thing I did was to change the name of the automatic Microsoft Office Projects file to "Projects".
What could be the cause? How do I recover them?
