That is normal behavior. If you notice different menu items are available
for different window like messages, Address Book, notes etc.

What I've noticed is that if one of my messages is highlighted (the messages
window is the active window), then Tools-->Send and Receive-->Send and
Receive ALL [Command]-K is grayed out; the same holds if I'm composing a
message (such as this one). But if one of my folders in Entourage (and NOT
one within "Folders on My Computer") is highlighted, then the command-K is
available.

I think this is the first time this question has been asked. I?m not sure
what could be causing this. Try opening your Outbox and sending each
individual message. It could be a bad message (usually the oldest) that is
causing the problem.
