I have used cd's in the past to b/u the main identity folder in the
Microsoft User Data folder but it now exceeds a cd capacity! I tried
archiving about 350MB of older emails by creating separate folders,
burning them, and then deleted the 350MB's of email from entourage.
However, it did not change the main identity folder size at all!
Deos anyone know an easier way?
Thanks
Entourage reuses space after a message is deleted. If you need to recover
the wasted space on your hard disk, you will have to do a 'typical' rebuild
to compact the database. This will create a compacted version of the
database without the wasted space. You will then have to manually delete the
backup copies of the original database that the rebuild process creates
AFTER you are happy the new one is OK.
Another option is to export your data as an Entourage archive. It is much
smaller than copying the Identity. It does not have the ³extra² space.

Are there email limits in terms of email #'s or total data in
Entourage?
