Thanks. That seems to have solved it. I should have remembered that trick -
I've had issues with fonts that required that exact remedy.

Entourage uses a flavour of the Tasman rendering engine, which was also used
in Internet Explorer for Mac, and since this problem affects every single
HTML message, it might be caused by corrupted browser preferences. Quit
Entourage, then delete the files "Tasman Browser.cache" and
"com.microsoft.browserfont.cache" in ~/Library/Caches to see if that solves
your problem.

an Exchange server and the rebuild blows away all of my contact and event
categories so I have to reassign all of the categories to every event and
contact, which is tedious.

I¹m working on a MacBook Pro but have been for about 4 weeks with no prior
issues between Office 2004, Rosetta, and the Intel processor.
