Simple answer is ³we don¹t know²

There have been a few messages about this recently. I have tried to do it
for over a year, without success (and I¹m meant to be an expert!).

There are detailed instructions here:

....but they don¹t work for me or for others.

I will try escalating this with the developers and see if I can get a
sensible answer out of them.

Subject: How do I install a root certificate in Entourage?

I¹m a bit stymied. I have followed the directions I can find online to
install a root certificate from my SSL server, but I¹m still seeing an error
when I try to send email securely using SMTP, not because the remote end
won¹t accept the SMTP connection securely, but because Entourage won¹t see
the certificate.

Here¹s what I¹ve done and how I installed it:

I¹m afraid that the article¹s wrong, however, because when I try to USE the
certificate I still get that same $#@$#@ error message about the root
certificate not being properly installed on my Mac.

I¹m running Mac OS X 10.4.8 and Entourage 11.2.5

Help, someone, how do I fix this?!
