Re: E-mail account doesn't work in Entourage

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Thank you Barry. That worked. I have no idea why, but who am I to
question it now that it's working.

I appreciate your help!!!

Thanks for doing what you do. Is there somewhere I can give you
feedback or points or a review?

Try deleting the account and re-create it - the existing email will stay in

It's a POP account.

What sort of account is it? POP? IMAP? Exchange?

I get an error that my "username/password or security settings may be
incorrect." I've checked my username and password and they are fine.
This account works just fine in Mail, and on my PC, just not in
entourage.

I'm on a brand new imac running osx and office 2004.

What 'doesn't work'? Does it error, or just not collect any mail?

If it errors, what does the error message say.

If it just gets no mail then is it included in the 'send & receive all'
schedule? Is another account/mail client collecting the mail and removing
it
from the server?

What type of account? What versions of OS & Office?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Send more details? ;-)
