Apologies if this has come up before.
Does anyone know if there is a reliable way of syncing Entourage with Oracle
Calendar without going round in circles? I used to do it via the Palm, but
the Palm Oracle conduits seem not to work in Tiger (I believe new clients
are on the way from Oracle). My users (who don't have Palms) are required
to use OC but prefer to work in Entourage. MS offer an OC plugin for
Outlook on the PC, but I doubt there's much call for an Entourage one -
unless someone knows different.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice.
As a former user of Oracle Calendar (or Steltor CorporateTime, at the time),
I found very little in common between the two apps. We had a fun time
figuring out how to export calendar data to even import it into Entourage
around the time of v10.1.4. Entourage's best plug-in mechanism may be
AppleScript, so I'm not sure Oracle would be able to develop a plugin
similar to the one they produce for Outlook.
If Oracle Calendar began to support Sync Services on Tiger, that might be an
improvement, now that Entourage 11.2.3 works with it.
One client feature I used to like in CorporateTime has made it into
Entourage, and I'm very happy about it: you can now Option-click-drag to
drag-copy a calendar event (just like the Finder).
