1. So if I turn notifications off I will be able to copy my DB without
worrying about corrupting it if I logout and log back in?

Yes (in fact, with notifications turned off the daemon will quit when ALL
office apps are closed - no need to logout)

2. Are the notifications for the calendar reminders?

Yes.

Thanks!!!

Yes, it does - but logging back in again will promptly re-start it, if you
have Notifications turned on.

After repairing the database it seems to go away but then comes back.

When you copy the database back and forth, do you quit the daemon first?
