Barry...Yes, I added an Exchange account a month or so ago. That must be the
reason.
The problem occurs when I'm at home and not on the company network, so that
must be the problem.
Thanks
Steve

Whenever I try to quit Entourage, it says "Are you sure you want to quit? A
network operation is in progress." According to the status bar, there's
nothing going on. It checks for new mail every 10 minutes. It happens almost
every time I try to quit the app.
This started a couple weeks ago for no known reason.
Today I reinstalled the entire Office 2004 suite of apps due to serious
problems in Excel. All the prefs files for all the apps got trashed.
Surprisingly, the Entourage problem resurfaced.
Anybody else seen this? Is there a fix?
Steve
Are you running exchange accounts? Some of the folder syncing does not
display in the progress window.
It's usually safe enough to terminate the network operation - entourage will
'catch up' next time it connects to the server.
