It's an issue with the Finder, not special to Tiger. It's always been this
way. The Finder only modifies dates of FOLDERS when you "physically" insert
a file into or remove a file (or subfolder) from it, not when a file within
it is modified by an application. Instead of using the Date Modified of the
folder, use the Date Modified of the Database file within it. That's
accurate.
