Thanks for writing back.

I use SuperDuper! myself, though not recently. I can't recall running into
this problem. But I keep 3rd-party applications on a separate partition in
any case, with a symlink to an "Applications" folder in my user folder.
Maybe that helps.

The script does not print individual TASKS - it prints the Tasks LIST. The
Tasks LIST does not contain Notes - no. It just contains the Name, Due Date,
Priority and Categories. Notes can be 100,000 words long - actually
infinitely long - if you want them to. There's obviously no room for notes
in the List. Entourage does not have any Notes column in the Tasks list for
that reason, so neither does the list that the script makes in Word.
Why would you expect a script that prints the Tasks List to instead be
printing in individual Tasks complete with their notes?

Obviously. Whereas printing tasks and calendar events in Entourage X was
very poor, printing individual tasks in Entourage 2004 is now pretty good.

Right. Thanks for noticing.
I think that because Entourage 2004 allows you to _select several (or one)
tasks_ in the Tasks List, and then File/Print and choose "Selected Tasks"
(or "All Tasks") and "Memo Style" that you are conflating this with printing
the Tasks List. It's only "Memo Style" that prints the notes.
The script was developed for Entourage 2001 and X, which couldn't print the
Tasks List AT ALL! I would have found no need to develop the script for 2004
(although it still works) since Entourage can now print both the list (i.e.
"Table Style") and the full Tasks ("Memo Style"). It's altogether much more
versatile - and quicker - than the script. There might be a few people who
have got attached to the way the script lets you set umpteen different Table
styles, fonts, and sub-sorting in Word who might perhaps still wish to go on
using it. But it's basically for 2001 and X.
Entourage itself does not allow for applescripting fonts or anything else
from HTML formatting - nothing. It does allow for getting the content of the
notes. So, theoretically, it might be possible to devise a "Memo Style" in
Word, complete with Notes, for another upgrade of the script. But I don't
think I'll be doing it, since I don't really see a need now that Entourage
2004 does such a good job of printing already.

OK, thanks.

Right, It had lots of options, just not some you wanted. This particular
script, like many, is both free and open-source, so others who know
AppleScript can adapt it to their needs.
My only query was to people who won't use scripts even when they do
_exactly_ what is wanted. Office 2001 was released before the developers
finished the work on Word's Data Merge: you couldn't merge to a subset of
contacts, only to the entire Address Book. I wrote a set of scripts to do
it, from Entourage, and they worked very well. There was someone here who
refused to use them. Word X finished the job, as was intended all along, so
I never needed to adapt those scripts for X. In the meantime, that character
would complain here every month on the dot, rather than use the scripts. You
seem to be a bit more enlightened.
