I hope this helps people who are having troubles sending emails from
Entourage with their yahoo (but also I think hotmail and other)
account:
I could receive emails fine but couldn't send them. I called my ISP
and actually solved the problem.
the "incoming mail" settings are the settings your email provider
gives you (in my case Yahoo) BUT
the "Outgoing" settings ARE THE SETTINGS OF YOUR ISP. So, for example,
in my case I had to set up the account this way:
Incoming: pop.bizmail.yahoo.com (Yahoo is my web space provider and I
have an emal account with them which I want to set up for Entourage)
Outgoing: smtp.rcn.com (no authentication need, but I guess it
depends on each case). RCN is the ISP, I pay RCN to provide cable
connection to the internet; they told me they block the outgoing
messages if the settings are not their settings)
It works for me, I hope it'll work for other people.
