He already explained that as soon as he selects a message in the IMAP
account, Entourage tries to access the server. So he's never able to get any
further than that, it seems, and he won't be able to drag messages to the
Finder either.
I'm pretty sure I already answered this yesterday. First go to Entourage
menu and Work Offline. It's also a good idea to go to View menu and turn off
Preview Pane. Now you should be able to select and drag messages directly
from the IMAP account (cache) to local folders. Don't use the Move button:
that will try to access the server to delete the messages from there - just
drag them. I don't think you'll need the drag-to-desktop workaround either.
