Annoying "updating Calendar"message

Every 2-3 minutes Entourage keeps on updating Calendar and Contacts.
It does not respond when it is updating.
Where is the setting for me to tell it to do every 3 hours or so?
Also where is the setting for me to ask it how often to check for new
mail?
