Ok Paul, here's what it was: someone at Microsoft told me once, I asked
them, what are all those things in my startup item I don't recognize, and
she said, well if you don't recognize it don't delete it, and definitely
don't deletes daemons. Still don't know really what daemons are.

Now as we speak I have 2 entourage daemons in startup folder, but only
entourage 2004 there. I would uninstall entourage 2004 but I can't because
(and tell me if I'm wrong) You can't just uninstall one app from office--
this is what Microsoft told me -- you have to uninstall all off of office
(which I think is crazy -- no?)

And I can't uninstall Office yet because I'm having problems still with
Excel 2004.

So should I wait till I finally uninstall 2001, before dealing with having 2
daemons in the startup folder?

(side note : wonder if 2 daemons have is causing the entourage in dock to
bob up and down on restarts)
