Explorer can't open PDF files!

    I am running Internet Explorer 5.2 on Mac OS 10.3. When I click a link on a
    web page that is a PDF file, I get the message: Internet Explorer does not
    know how to handle they type of file you have selected." When I download it
    to my desktop, it shows up as .pdf, and Adobe reader or Preview opens it just
    fine. Why is IE playing dumb, and how can I get it to open PDF files within
    an IE window?
