No further loading occurs. After moments Error message: Attempting to
    load
accessing URL http://www.refdesk.com / failed. Trying to reload fails.
Occassionally on restart IE may load. All if irrespective of time of day.
My Access is cable isp server optonline.com.
I then uninstalled IE5 manually as directed according to MS knowledge
article 192852. I trashed as directed but did not empty trash and went in
to download and correctly install IE 5.2.3 . Unfortunately same problem .

My I Mac OS 10.3.3 IE v 5.2 upgraded to v 5.2.2 fails to load many times.
At other times it loads normally.
It does not occur with Netscape or safari
I use cable specifically Optonline, which functions normally except in
reference to theabove description. I used disk utility and corrected all
permissions. However the disk verify and disk repair buttons were not
    active.
After I upgraded IE I simply trashed the 5.2 fil
