RE: limit connection per user

isn't there any easier solution? i've installed platform SDK but without easy
documentation, it's useless for me.

do you know any guide that helps writing an extension?

You could have a look at the MSDN website and the platform SDK.
Or you can hire me for writing an extension :-)

actually, writing an extension is not possible for a person who doesn't have
coding experience.

I already wrote IAS extensions for the company I'm working for.
Maybe we can find a way here?

isn't there any easy way of achieving this?

You might want to try cconnect (described in KB 237282), but I never
tested that in conjunction with IAS.

i've heard an attribute called "simultaneous-use" in some vendors that solves
my problem. does IAS involve something like that?

This attribute is not supported by IAS. Maybe it can be accomplished
using vendor-specific attributes (VSAs). Otherwise you would have to
use a custom IAS extension.

thanks.

Hi,
we're planning of deploying IAS for wireless authentication. here is the
problem: we want users to create 1 connection per user name.

for example: if a user gives his username/password to a friend and it they
both try to connect with that username, system just allow one of them.

is it possible?

thanks everyone.
