I am trying to setup Ethernet 802.1x authentication using a Windows
2003 SP1 Server (running the AD Domain Controller, Root CA and IAS),
a Windows 2000 SP4 Client and an HP 4108gl switch.
I have installed the Windows 200 802.1x client, and configured it
to do 802.1x with EAP and "Smartcard or other certificate".
I think I also have installed the CA Root Certificate and an Computer
Certificate on the Client.
However, when I switch 802.1x on on the switch, the client doesn't seem
to even try to authenticate at all. When I run a networt sniffer on the
client, I see EAP Request coming from the Switch, but no EAP packets
from the client at all.
