You only have one choice here, and that's to do Computer Authentication
only.
The actual delay between computer authentication and User authentication is
causing all your issues

Don't worry much about the cached credentials part. If the cached
credentials fail the authentication (password expired ..etc) then the user
won't be able to get on the network and would fail authentication
