We have now successfully configured wireless network access over WPA, IAS
and PEAP Authentication (also thanks to MVP's in this NG!).
The problem we have now is that despite we have a successfull computer
authentication on IAS (Event Log Entry in System Log of IAS Server), the XP
SP2 machine does not find the domain controller during startup and the user
can only log on with cashed credentials. The wireless network is available
as soon as the user gets the explorer shell. But the problem is that
software installation GPO's are never applied during system startup this
way. We tested a GPO setting "always wait for the network before logon" and
waited a long time before pressing CTRL ALT DEL, but no success (despite we
have got a sucessfull computer authentication message in the IAS system
eventlog).
I don't konw if this is the correct NG for this problem, but we had WEP with
shared key and without authentication before. And with this infrastructure,
the XP SP2 client started the wireless network before presenting the logon
dialog box.
Any advice? Thanks in advance for any help!
Franz
