Is it somehow possible to do authentication of user who's accout is in
subdomain against IAS on domain controller in forest root domain that this
sub-domain belongs to? Forest root domain is "local.com" and user has an
accout in sub domain "sub_domain.local.com".
According to available documentation it is possible to authenticate users
from one domain against IAS on domain controller for that domain.

Any idea?
