adding email address to an identity in OE6.0

I have an email address (webmail) that I'd like to add to my identity in OE
6.0. I believe I have already filled in all the proper info unde
Tools\Accts\New\Mail. When I added one before, it came up and said it was
downloading folders, then it would show this acct separately from all my
other stuff. Today, the folders won't download. I do not want to set this up
as a separate identity. Have already rebooted. This is a POP3 acct. Any
ideas for me to try?
