I can connect with chat and white board, but not audio or video.

I'm on XP (Media version), and cannot get Netmeeting to send and accept video.I have not actually tried NetMeeting from a XP Media Center machine -- I am
not sure if that is a factor. If I find some time (and a machine) I will
give it a try.
Perhaps someone else with the machinery can comment?
I can get it to work with MSN Messenger - but it does have some delay and echo.Successfully with audio and video I presume? Pointing to a problem at your

and does not want to use anything else. I can connect, but no video comes through. What about audio? Audio and video are carried on the same transport so if
both are not working that would point to a transport problem -- a router or
firewall interfering perhaps.
Is this a corporate machine? It is possible that audio/video capability in
NetMeeting is limited by policy if that is the case.
I am also behind a router - D-Link 604. I'm somewhat concerned that be a major factor more than XP Media.
XP Media Edition is likely not a problem ( I managed to connect with a
laptop here running it and successfully receive audio and video).
The router will definitely be a problem unless you have configured the
NetMeeting machine as the dmz machine of the router -- no audio or video
will be received
I know XP PRO works with NETMEETING - so I don't know if its MEDIA, or perhaps the router.
The router would be my bet -- unless you have dealt with the dmz
configuration already -- though other factors such as the policy issue I
mentioned could be implicated.
http://radio.weblogs.com/0127028/2004/10/18.html is also an issue that can
affect audio/video (but it affects transmission not reception).
I really need to try to find someone on XP and uses DLINK, and has gotten NETMEETING to work. Any suggestions for that ?
