It is possible I suppose that total lack of t.120 connection or sporadic
loss of connection (if that is what is happening) could be due to isp
setup/change of MTU ( though I haven't any real evidence or even anecdotal
information that this would happen).

The DSL provider is Bell Canada?

I suppose you could get some indication if the dsl connection is a factor
if you could use the same clients with a different connection.
