She is using cable broadband not dialup. I don't believe she has a firewall;
she's just using Norton AV. Anyway, certainly nothing in that department has
changed between the successful connect and the subsequent failure (other
than the IP address change). We did use NetMeeting to determine the IP
address, by the way and each time I've tried since - interestingly, the
address is always the same now but it is different from that on the one and
only successful connect. I've also tried using that original one in case
something weird was happening but with no success. She has also uninstalled
and reinstalled NetMeeting and I guided her through the setup over the
phone.
