"Full" NetMeeting calls are really two calls in parallel - and H.323
audio/video call and a T.120 data call. TCP 1503 is used for the T.120 part
the call ( everything .. call establishment and data transfer). TCP 1720 is
used for call establishment/control for the audio/video call. During call
establishment a series of other ports are negotiated to do audio/video data
transfer

Because it can accept the incoming call you mean -- yes I would guess that
too.

I am not sure what you are saying here -- what is the "Net Firewall Service"
in this context -- are you referring to XP's built in firewall or something
else?

Yes possibly -- I had forgetton that you were using that strategy-- I don't
have much experience using ad hoc mode so am not totally sure about issues
there.
