ALWAYS REVIEW your message before submitting it. You want someone ELSE
to understand your post other than just yourself.

This is rude how? Review your original post. Was it clear? Did it
show the full error message? Did you check it before sending, like
checking for spelling and grammar errors (to ensure others wouldn't have
to guess at your meaning)? In your original post you claim you cannot
*reply* to an e-mail and yet your next post shows that you could never
send e-mail with your current setup whether it was an original, reply,
or forward e-mail.

Usually you get one chance per potential respondent to elicit a reply
from them. If they skip your post because you gave them nothing to go
on (no details, no versions, no context), usually they will just move on
to the next post and never return to yours.

This is fact. Nothing to do with being rude. It behooves you to
provide as many details as possible. Usenet is not a chat room where
visitors will nag at you to dig out the details one post at a time until
reasonable information is elicited to provide sufficient evidence on
which to even try troubleshooting. Don't expect "lure" posts (that
require repeated digging to get the details) to get much traffic.

Go read:

You are obviously new to newsgroups. You even state that. To
understand how to post and what is Usenet (versus forums, chat rooms,
and other public venues for communication), you should read the above
articles. They give a lot of information on how to use newsgroups.

In addition:
- Do NOT describe an error message.
- Do NOT summarize an error message.
- Do NOT paraphrase an error message.
- Do NOT truncate an error message.
- Do show the ENTIRE message (but munge/star out personal info,
like your username).

This was to emphasize that you should provide the FULL content of any
error message. You didn't. Others told you the same them by asking you
to give full details of the error.

I wasn't the one having a bad day. You were and decided to interpret my
response based on your frustrated state. I gave advice on how to post
so that you could reply with sufficient details for someone ELSE to try
to diagnose your problem. It was neutral. Obviously you were not in a
negative emotional state when you read it.
