Windows Mail is your default Mail Client in Vista, Tracy.

'Yahoo.com' is not the proper name for the outgoing server.

That being said, however, you won't be able to use your name@xxxxxxxxx account in Windows Mail (or other Mail Clients like MS Outlook or Windows Live Mail) if (a) it's a US- or CA-based account and (b) you're not a Yahoo Plus subscriber (or the account isn't tied to an ISP like Verizon).
