Well I just tried that with only one item in the del folder and it work, so
I am back to just wondering...

I will give that a whirl next opportunity.
I do cntrl A+D, I think it is the server and it had been already synch_ed
with the objects in the Del folder. So perhaps it gets confused there and
tries to retain the items. Sometimes I empty it after reviewing the items
I
want to read and at some times if the group is small I just leave them. If
a
synch for new mail occurs with the items still in the Del folder this
server
does not delete on the next instruction around to empty the folder. I
wonder
why?

I had a feeling you were referring to OE, Jim. Yeah, that used to bug
me,
too: Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.

Try this instead: Open OE to the Hotmail Deleted Items folder |
Select/highlight one (1) message | the keyboard shortcut combo of
CTRL+A+D
should delete all messages in a wink of an eye.

I am sorry, I meant to say using OE. The Deleted Items Folder > Edit >
Empty
Deleted Items from this Folder~or whatever. The server is not allowing
this
operation consistently today. Usually it just dumps this from OE. On
occasion this happens without regard to the remote user or
understanding.
It
is still <SPAM>.

In case you really didn't mean to delete a message, perhaps?

<QP>
Windows Live Hotmail provides you with 5 gigabytes (GB) of storage
space.
Windows Live Hotmail regularly deletes old items from your Junk
e-mail
and
Deleted items folders. To ensure that your account doesn't exceed the
maximum size, save attachments and large messages to your computer,
and
regularly delete messages that you don't need from your other
folders.

...Windows Live Hotmail periodically empties the Deleted folder. To
permanently remove all deleted items, in the folder pane, click the
arrow
next to the Deleted folder, and then click OK.

Delete the contents of Deleted Items folder via the webmail interface
on
a
regular basis to avoid such behavior.

Why does the server on occasion not delete the email from the

folder? It's fate has already been decided by the user. It is not
going
to
be read or reread. So what is the point of clogging the
synchronization
with
the slowest of the whole process; reading (feedback) to the server?
Besides
the fact that it is unsolicited junk/<SPAM> from the bulk mail
folder
with
an occasional phishing fraud to boot! Which I always report to
