Most likely you are using the wrong program for the type of attachment.
Word Viewer would be for MS Word DOC files.

When recieving an attachment to my emails. When I try to either open
it or
even save it, I can not seem to read the attachment as it is
unreadable. In
word viewer the attachment comes up as 50-60 or even 450 pages long
and is
full of various characters for example " @# -=-99 gshl ** % >... "
................ and so on. I wonder if someone can help as to why
this is
happening and what the solution is to fix this problem.
