I have a EVDO card from Verizon that I put into my Fugi tablet PC. I
am using MS Outlook 2003.
I configured my acct information on the tablet, I use a godaddy POP
acct. and can send but not receive. Since I am using verizon as a
carrier, I used GoDaddy's secure smpt server:
smtpout.secureserver.net. I configured the pop server with my acct.
Immediately, I could not send. I decided to test the connection... I
brought up a webpage and was able to successfully receive email.
However, anything that i tried to send out just sat in the outbox. I
removed the EVDO card and connected to my wireless router (LAN),
everything worked perfectly. I could send and receive with no problem
at all. I disconnected from the LAN and reconnected with Verizon, no
luck. I confirmed that I could ping various servers and bring up
pages. I also confirmed that I was not connecting to my WAP or any
other by disabling the Wireless NIC.
I decided that it may be the smtp settings and Verizon did not relay
the traffic. I called Verizon and set up a vzwmail.net acct. I
waited the 72 hours and confirmed that the acct was working by
authenticating to the server. However, it will still not send email.
Any help would be appreciated.
