Hotmail is a web-hosted mail account - imap, not pop3 - so if you move a
message from your OE folder to hotmail folder, it sends the mail to the
web-based server. Therefore it appears in the hotmail inbox. No way it can
do anything else.

Hi all,
I have XP SP2, with latest OE release, in which I have created a
regular POP3 account and an hotmail.com account, which, of course,
resides on the bottom of the previuos one...
Whenever I move a message from the POP3 Inbox to one of hotmail
subfolders (which I have previously created, either on-line or locally,
works both ways), the message ends up in the hotmail inbox and I have
to move from there to the proper folder, which works...
This happens either if I drag the message or select it and choose move
to folder. When I do it from the hotmail inbox to one of its subfolders
or back to the POP3 subfolders, either way, it works...
Why don't the messages move directly to the wanted subfolder?
Thank you in advance for any help u may provide, Roberto
.
