No. Once an account is past 30 days, they delete all the email in the
account. They won't recover it from any backup for you.

I knew that Microsoft had recently changed this period to 60 days. It's why
i was surprised...

MSN Hotmail has changed nothing. They have always required access within 30
days, or you lose your email on the servers. At 31 days, they delete all
email from the servers and put your account in a "dormant" status. If you
access your account within the next 60 days,you can reactivate it, but your
email will be gone. At 91 days they close the account. It has always been
thus, as long as I have had an email account with them.
