no internet access via anything other than IE

Hi,

I'm able to access the internet and surf just fine through browsers;
however, when I try to use the outlook browser access it doesn't work
nor can I get access to our third party AltME chat 0 - it says "no
internet connection".

I have the exact same set up on a another PC (or so I thought) and have
no trouble with it.

Can't imagine what I'm missing but am hoping you all can set me in the
right direction.
